Local superfood

We source a very special ingredient from Biohof Decker in Cadolzburg for our apple, strawberry and pear smoothie: the haska berry. The organic farm is one of the first in Germany to grow its own haskapberries.
What are the advantages of local superfoods such as the haskap berry?
Local superfoods naturally have the advantage of short transportation routes - and therefore significantly lower emissions of harmful substances.
In addition, fruit usually loses many vitamins and good ingredients during long storage and transportation. Haskap berries, for example, contain valuable antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.
This means that local superfoods are simply a much better and more climate-friendly alternative to their exotic counterparts.
