MAX HERRMANN'S PERSONAL "TOUR DE BELGIUM

German U19 cyclist Max Herrmann, reigning Bavarian champion in circuit racing, from Baiersdorfer Radteam e.V., has caused a stir in Belgian road cycling in recent weeks. Herrmann, who used his summer vacation for a personal "Tour de Belgium", was able to celebrate good successes in various races.

In Bierbeek, Herrmann secured third place in an exciting funfair race. In another race in Dadizele, the talented rider showed skill and tactical understanding, which earned him a place in the leading group and ultimately fifth place. Not long after that, in Huldenberg, he bravely fought his way away from the peloton on his own, but was caught by the peloton shortly before the finish and finished the race in tenth place.

In an exciting race in Sint-Lamprechts-Herk, he worked excellently with four other cyclists, broke away from the main field and dominated the race. In the end, he secured an impressive 2nd place after an intense sprint to the finish.

He finished his tour with a strong 4th place in Rumst. Despite a field that made it difficult for breakaway groups, he pulled away and managed a remarkable fourth place, with a photo finish deciding the race.

Herrmann's performance in Belgium is all the more significant because he was preparing for his first U23 year in Germany after injuries during the current season. The high density of races at short intervals and the large starting fields of the demanding Belgian races offered him the ideal opportunity to get ready for the challenges ahead.

His performances in Belgian road cycling have shown that Max Herrmann is a promising young cyclist and it will be interesting to see what successes his future holds in the U23 and beyond.
