This simple and aromatic dish with soy mince, fresh spring onions and Thai basil brings the taste of Asian cuisine straight to your home - ideal for anyone looking for a quick, healthy and vegan recipe for after work, meal prep or as a light fitness dish with a high protein content.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4-5 spring onions 
  • 1 white onion 
  • 3 garlic cloves 
  • 1 red chili, fresh 
  • 360 g vegan (ground) mince 
  • 5 g coconut oil 
  • 2-3 handfuls of Thai basil 
  • Colorful pepper

INGREDIENTS FOR THE SAUCE

  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp no fish sauce 
  • 1 tbsp palm sugar / brown cane sugar 
  • 30 ml ginger shot
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce 
  • 2-3 tablespoons water 

PREPARATION

  • Wash and finely chop the spring onions

  • Peel and finely chop the onion & garlic

  • Finely dice the chili

  • Pluck the Thai basil leaves from the stalk

Stir these ingredients into an aromatic seasoning sauce - and the preparations are complete.

PREPARATION

  1. Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan.

  2. Sauté the spring onions, onions, garlic and chilli for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add the soy mince and fry for a further 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add the prepared sauce, mix well and reduce for approx. 1 minute.

  5. Season with pepper, mix in the Thai basil and leave to infuse over a low heat for 1-2 minutes.

SERVING TIP
