KLOSTER KITCHEN NOW ALSO IN GERMANY'S BAKERIES

Kloster Kitchen, the market leader in the German shot segment, is now listed in the major bakery operations DAT BACKHUS, JUNGE, Malzers Backstube and the BÄKO regional companies. This means that they have not only established a new sales network, but are also building on their previous success at the POS. The Inwgerexperts also want to generate additional sales channels in the future. As part of this convenience strategy, the beverage startup is not only setting new standards in the superfood industry, it is also meeting the high demands of its customers. In doing so, the Franconian manufacturer of ginger shots is focusing on the increasing sales of convenience products within bakeries and would like to position itself even more strongly in this environment.

Ginger shots have become an indispensable part of the superfood segment. Their advantage: they can be consumed anywhere and at any time and are also the perfect companion for a healthy lifestyle - whether for a fresh kick in the morning or as an energy booster in between meals. For this reason, Kloster Kitchen has decided to break new ground in convenience shopping. Because since 2016, they have been conquering retail chains such as Rewe, Edeka and Co, steadily expanding their online business and are now tapping into additional markets with bakeries. For Kloster Kitchen , it's the next logical step to further drive their growth. Bakeries not only have a supply function in the morning, but are also highly popular at lunchtime. This is because customers are increasingly guided by impulse purchases during their shopping trip. This is precisely where Kloster Kitchen wants to pick up with its range consisting of the practical 30ml portions in the flavors Ginger Shot Classic, Turmeric, Pomegranate and the new Limited Edition Horseradish Cranberry. Thanks to attractive counter placement, the ginger shots are an absolute enrichment as well as an ideal complement to the classic baked goods range.

Jörg Hoppe, Head of Product Development "Dat Backhus", is enthusiastic about the expansion of the product range: "With Kloster Kitchen we not only have a strong partner at our side, but also see the listing of the ginger shots as a great benefit for us and our customers. In addition to the positive feedback we receive on a daily basis, we are particularly convinced by the customized sales and marketing solutions offered by Kloster Kitchen ." DAT BACKHUS is a traditional bakery that has been offering baked goods for over 80 years in what are now more than 93 specialty stores in and around Hamburg.

This is how skilfully Kloster Kitchen presents itself at the POS

The Franconian beverage startup places its products conspicuously and authentically in the bakery branches of DAT BACKHUS, Junge - Die Bäckerei, and Malzers Backstube and relies on sales-promoting measures. The product displays not only meet customers at eye level, but can also be integrated into any store concept thanks to their practical A6 size. Top chef and ginger shot fan Roland Trettl, who recently became a brand ambassador for Kloster Kitchen , is also seen as an absolute drawing card in the sales strategy and can be set up as a life-size display at the POS if required. The ginger specialists also offer their partners solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of bakery owners. In addition, there are seasonal promotions that ensure even more awareness and recognition at the sales counter.

Responsible for this success is Julia Stöver, Key Account Manager New Business at Kloster Kitchen. The startup benefits from her twelve years of expertise as a key account manager at SHALTER's Getränke GmbH, among others, as well as her broad customer network. In this context she already accompanied several market entries and was significantly involved in the further development of key customers in the gastronomy. Thanks to her industry know-how, listings in the convenience segment were greatly expanded and increased in a very short time. But that's not all: the new business expert has many plans for Kloster Kitchen in the future and sees numerous opportunities to open up further markets: "Kloster Kitchen has become increasingly popular in recent years, especially with its ginger shots. The rapid growth and positive response from retailers and customers exceeded all our expectations, which is why we looked for new distribution channels to meet the ever-growing demand. Our long-term goal is to set new standards in convenience shopping and to open up further points of sale. In addition, gas stations and restaurants/hotel businesses, for example, are potential partners with whom we would like to strategically expand our distribution network in the future."
