KLOSTER KITCHEN GINGER SHOTS AND SUSTAINABILITY
ORGANIC PRODUCT: ORGANIC? LOGICAL!
All our products are certified organic and made with the best organic ingredients. Of course, organic is not always sustainable. But an organic label indicates that ingredients are handled with respect and care. As the monks who developed our old monastery recipe attached great importance to this, we also wanted to include this important detail - in a modernized version in the form of an organic seal.
VEGAN: VENI, VIDI, VEGAN.
Vegan ... is just some kind of fad. Or is it? No. Especially when it comes to sustainability, vegan products have good arguments. For example, the production of plant-based foods requires less water, land and energy than animal husbandry and meat production. Animal husbandry also causes a considerable amount of greenhouse gases. On top of that, intensive agriculture and livestock farming often lead to the destruction of habitats and the loss of biodiversity. Vegan food, on the other hand, helps to reduce this negative impact. And that's exactly what we want too!
Bonus: A vegan diet can reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and other health problems.
Did you know ...
Our diet accounts for 21 percent of all greenhouse gases.
In Germany, 21 percent of greenhouse gas emissions are attributable to our food - for example for cultivation, processing, storage or transportation. Especially a lot CO₂ produce animal products.
You can do this:
Reach for vegan, regional, seasonal and organic products more often.
MHD: LASTS FOREVER. FAST.
And what is good about it now? It just means that the product is full of chemicals!
So at least with our ginger shots this statement is completely wrong. Because we do without any artificial additives!
Now that we've cleared that up, again, why is a long BB good?
Clearly, when food has a long best before date, you have more time to use it up before it goes bad. You don't throw the product away and thus food waste is reduced. Our ginger shots have a shelf life of up to 2 years from bottling. More than enough time for you to enjoy our shots without thinking about the best before date!
Did you know ...
Almost one third of all food ends up in the trash.
According to the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, around 12 million tons of food are thrown away in Germany every year.
Here's what you can do:For example, shop as planned as possible so that nothing is left over. You can also make food last longer by storing it correctly and using food sharing offers.
