When is Father's Day?

In fact, similar to Mother's Day, there is no international regulation as to when Father's Day is celebrated. In Germany, however, the day is traditionally celebrated on Ascension Day, 40 days after Easter Sunday. Other countries, however - including the USA - celebrate fathers on the 3rd Sunday in June.

Father's Day or Men's Day or Men's Day?

Father's Day has its roots in the USA, where it was created in the 1910s. In Germany, the day has been celebrated since the 1930s, in those early years under the name "Herrentag" or "Men's Day". It was not until the 1950s that the term "Father's Day" became established in our country, and since then it has been officially designated as such. In some regions of Germany, however, it is still referred to as "Herrentag" or "Men's Day".
